Chief Baber will be in contact with you to get started on the County’s requirements of two background checks, one through our locate sheriff’s department and the other through the state police. She will also advise you on the things she will need you to do that correspond with getting the background checks done.

While you are waiting for the background checks to come in, PFVFR requires that you come to at least two of our monthly meetings before the background checks are done. The third meeting (which hopefully your background checks are in) and we will vote you in as a probationary member. Once you are voted in, we have a requirement of at least 24 hours a month and to attend monthly meetings. We also require you sit in our new volunteer orientation class which is usually on a Saturday.
